Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website keeps in your browser so it can recognise you next time, for example that you are logged in or which language you chose.

Cookies we use

  • mg_session: keeps you logged in. Essential. JavaScript cannot read it. The session ends when you log out or after 5 minutes without activity.
  • mg_theme: remembers your light or dark theme. 1 year.
  • NEXT_LOCALE: remembers your language (Hindi or English).
  • mg_gid: an anonymous id for older tests taken without logging in; it holds no personal information.

Browser storage and service worker

  • localStorage keeps the time of your last activity and a logged-in/logged-out signal, so the 5-minute automatic logout works together in all open tabs.
  • A service worker is installed only when you turn on push alerts; it shows the notifications.

Why there is no cookie banner

All the cookies and storage above are essential to run the website or remember choices you made. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so a separate consent banner is not needed. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first and your consent will be asked.

Deleting or blocking cookies

You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking mg_session means you cannot stay logged in; deleting the others means choosing your language and theme again.
