Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Is MockGhar free?
Yes. The information, mock tests, alerts and reminders are all free.
Is this a government website?
No. MockGhar is a private information platform and is not connected with any exam body. Every update links the official website; check final details there.
How do I register?
Press ‘Join free’, fill in your name, email, mobile number and password, accept the terms and press ‘Create account’. The account is created at once. Then you can pick your exams (or skip for later) and you reach your dashboard.
Why must I verify my email?
So that alerts, reminders and password codes reach the right person. Mock tests, alerts and other features switch on only after your email is verified. After registering you get a 6-digit code by email; enter it on the dashboard.
I did not get the verification code. What now?
Check your spam or promotions folder. After 30 seconds press ‘Send the code again’ on the dashboard. If you typed the email wrong, use ‘Wrong email? Change it’. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Press ‘Forgot password?’ on the login page, enter your email, then the code from the email and a new password. You are logged in straight away and logged out of all other devices.
My account was made with the old OTP login. How do I get a password?
Enter your email on the ‘Forgot password?’ page and set a new password with the code. Then log in with your email and password.
How does a mock test work?
The test opens in a new tab. On the instructions page choose the question language (Hindi or English); it cannot be changed after the test starts. The screen is like the real CBT: question palette, timer, ‘Save & Next’, ‘Mark for Review’. On submitting you see your score, subject-wise analysis and solutions.
What if my test stops midway?
If the internet, power or browser stops your test, open the same test again and it continues from the same question. The timer stays paused while you are away.
Why was I logged out automatically?
For security you are logged out after 5 minutes without activity. A warning appears at 4 minutes where you can press ‘Stay logged in’. You are not logged out while a mock test is running.
How do I get alerts?
Register, verify your email, then on Dashboard → Notification settings press ‘Turn on alerts’ and choose ‘Allow’ in the browser. Pick your exams, alert types and language there.
Alerts are not arriving. What should I check?
- Your email is verified
- Notifications for this site are set to ‘Allow’ in the browser
- Your quiet hours setting
- On a computer the browser must be open; keep Windows Focus/Do not disturb off
- On iPhone first use Safari ‘Share’ → ‘Add to Home Screen’, open it from there and turn alerts on
How do last-date reminders work?
For jobs in your chosen exams, and jobs where you pressed ‘Remind me’, you get a push notification 7, 3 or 1 day before the last date or on the last day (as you choose), between 8 am and 9 pm.
Can I trust the information here?
We take information only from official sources and check it before publishing. Still, always check the official website before applying; it is final.
