Income Tax Delhi Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 is open for 119 posts for meritorious sportspersons. The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi, has invited online applications (F.No. P-342/Pr.CCIT/Sports Quota Recruitment/2026-27/10703 dated 1 October 2026) for Tax Assistant, Stenographer Grade II and Multi-Tasking Staff posts in the Delhi Region. Applications are open from 17 October to 10 November 2026.

Vacancy Details

The posts are spread over 27 games: 67 for men and 52 for women. The largest shares are athletics 15, hockey 12, kabaddi 9, volleyball 7, and 6 each in boxing, football and para sports. No post is reserved for SC, ST, OBC or EWS. The numbers are tentative and unfilled posts can be shifted to other games.

Eligibility

• Tax Assistant: a bachelor's degree; after appointment, a data entry skill test of 8,000 key depressions per hour
• Stenographer Grade II: class 12 pass; after appointment, a stenography test (dictation 10 minutes at 80 words per minute, transcription 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer)
• Multi-Tasking Staff: class 10 pass
• Age: 18 to 27 years for Tax Assistant and Stenographer, 18 to 25 years for MTS, as on 31 August 2026
• Age relaxation for sportspersons: up to 5 years (10 years for SC and ST)
• Sports: international representation, or a medal or top-3 place at the senior or junior nationals, National Games, inter-university or Khelo India games, or the national school games; state-level participants without a medal are considered last
• Those awaiting final exam results should not apply

Selection Process

• Candidates are judged on their sports achievements in the order of preference set out in the notice, their consistency of performance, age and education
• Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification by e-mail; no TA or DA is paid
• Candidates must be clear of all doping tests and give a declaration to that effect

How to Apply

• Step 1: Open the Sports Recruitment portal of the Income Tax Department, Delhi (link at the bottom of this page)
• Step 2: Register with your name, Aadhaar, mobile number and e-mail and verify the OTP
• Step 3: Fill in the five sections of the form and mark your post preferences; one application can cover more than one post
• Step 4: Upload your date-of-birth proof, Aadhaar, qualification certificate, sports certificates in the prescribed forms, caste certificate (if any) and employer's NOC (if employed)
• Submit only one application; multiple applications are rejected

Posting and Service

Selected candidates will be posted in the Delhi Region only and will be on probation for two years. They must represent the Income Tax Department, Delhi, in tournaments for at least 10 years and cannot seek an inter-charge transfer during that period.
