The SSC has uploaded the Tentative Answer Key and Candidates' Response Sheets for the Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2026 (CBE) on its official website. This computer based examination was held on 09.09.2026 to 12.09.2026 and on 15.09.2026 at various centres across the country. Candidates could log in with their Registration Number and Password to view their response sheet and the tentative answer key. The challenge window closed on 26.09.2026 at 23:00 hours, so no new challenges can be filed now.

Challenge Fee
- Fee: ₹50/- per question/answer challenged
- The fee for challenge was reduced from the earlier ₹100/- to ₹50/-.
How to Check the Answer Key
- Go to the official website.
- Log in with your Registration Number and Password.
- In the challenge module, check your response sheet and the tentative answer key.
- Note that the sequence of questions and options in the challenge module may differ from how they appeared in the exam. This is because all candidates of a particular shift see the same sequence there, while in the exam each candidate had a different sequence.
- Even so, the answers you selected during the exam are accurately reflected in the challenge module.
Important Notes
- The saved question paper is strictly for personal use and self-analysis only.
- Response sheets will not be available after the time limit, so candidates were advised to take a print out in advance.
- Any individual request for response sheets or tentative answer keys will not be entertained in the future under any circumstances.
- Detailed guidelines on the challenge/objection management system were issued by the Commission vide notice dated 10.04.2026. Candidates can read them on the official website.
- Representations received after 26.09.2026 (23:00 hours) will not be entertained under any circumstances.
