DRDE Paid Internship 2026 Apply for 8 Posts

DRDE (Defence Research and Development Establishment), Gwalior, a premier institute of DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation), has invited applications from Indian citizens for its Paid Internship Scheme. The internship is for a minimum of 6 months and starts from 01 January 2027. There are 8 seats in total with a fixed monthly stipend of Rs 5000. The last date to apply is 14 November 2026.

The number of vacancies may change as per organisational requirement. Seats not filled may be merged with other subjects.

Eligibility

• Biological Sciences: Pursuing M.Sc. or equivalent (3rd/4th Sem) or B.Tech (7th/8th Sem) in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology or Immunology.
• Chemical Sciences: Pursuing M.Sc. or equivalent (3rd/4th Sem) in Organic, Inorganic or Analytical Chemistry.
• Engineering: Pursuing B.E./B.Tech. (7th/8th Sem) in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
• Academic record: 75% and above marks (or 7.5 CGPA and above) from an AICTE/UGC approved college or university.
• Age limit: below 28 years as on 14th Nov, 2026.
• A recent referral or sponsorship letter from the college or university is required.

Stipend and Terms

• Stipend: Rs 5000 per month (fixed), paid in two equal installments of Rs 15000 each, after 03 months and after 06 months.
• No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.
• No TA/DA will be paid for joining, if selected.
• Selection does not give any right to absorption in DRDO.
• Only sick leave, with a valid prescription, will be allowed.
• Progress report is due after 03 months and project report after 06 months.
• Electronic items such as smartphones, mobile phones, pen drives, laptops and CD-ROMs are not allowed inside the DRDE Gwalior campus.

How to Apply

• Fill the application form (Annexure-A) and affix a recent passport size photograph.
• Send the referral or sponsorship letter, detailed resume, self-attested copies of degrees and mark sheets, copies of Aadhar and PAN card, and bank details.
• Submit to the Director, DRDE, DRDO, Jhansi Road, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Pin Code-474002, by speed post, or by email to director.drde@gov.in and hrd.drde@gov.in.
• Incomplete or erroneous applications, or those received after the due date, will be rejected.
