The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), an aided institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, has invited online applications for 58 temporary posts: Project Scientific Officer, Project Scientific Assistant and Project Administrative Staff. Selected candidates will work at IPR, Bhat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, or its GIDC Sector-25 laboratories. The last date to apply online is 16-11-2026, till 5:30 PM.

The number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease. All posts are purely temporary, for a maximum of three years.
Remuneration (consolidated, including HRA): Rs. 72,930 per month for Project Scientific Officer, Rs. 46,020 for Project Scientific Assistant and Rs. 25,870 for Project Administrative Staff. The CHSS medical facility (self only) is also admissible.
Eligibility
- Project Scientific Officer: B.E./B.Tech. in the relevant branch.
- Project Scientific Assistant: a three-year Diploma in the relevant branch. For the Physics branch, B.Sc. (Physics).
- Project Administrative Staff: Graduate with a Certified Course in Computer.
- B.E./B.Tech. and Diploma need minimum 60% marks. Graduates for Project Administrative Staff need minimum 50% marks.
- Age limit: 40 years (Officer), 35 years (Assistant), 30 years (Administrative Staff). Age relaxation applies to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen as per Government rules.
- Only Indian nationals can apply.
Application Fee
- General/OBC: ₹200
- SC/ST/Female/PwBD/EWS/Ex-Serviceman: Nil (certificate must be submitted)
- Payment only online through SBI Collect. The fee is not refundable.
Selection Process
- Project Scientific Officer and Assistant: selection only on the basis of interview. A written test may be held for screening.
- Project Administrative Staff: written test and computer skill test.
- The wait list remains valid for one year.

- Upload a recent passport size colour photo and documents for date of birth, educational qualification and category.
- Pay the application fee through SBI Collect and keep the receipt.
