India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has released advertisement F.No. 4-ITPO(3)/E-I/2026 dated 17 October 2026 for direct recruitment to 46 posts: Senior Assistant (Civil), Senior Assistant (Electrical), Senior Assistant (Architecture), Assistant (Accounts), Junior Stenographer and Junior Assistant (General Cadre). Online applications are open from 17 October 2026 till 13 November 2026.
Selection is not through a new written exam. The posts are filled from the candidates who appeared in the SSC Junior Engineer 2024, SSC CGL 2024 and SSC Stenographer Grade C 2024 examinations but were not finally recommended, and for the Architecture post from the candidates with a qualifying GATE score (2024, 2025 or 2026, paper AR).

Eligibility
- Senior Assistant (Civil, Electrical, Architecture): a degree or diploma in the concerned engineering or architecture discipline. Diploma holders need 1 year of relevant experience. Age up to 28 years.
- Assistant (Accounts): B.Com. (2nd Division), working knowledge of computer applications and 2 years of experience in finance or accounts. Age up to 28 years.
- Junior Stenographer: a Bachelor's degree and shorthand/typing speed of 80/40 w.p.m. Age up to 27 years.
- Junior Assistant (General Cadre): a Bachelor's degree with at least a 2nd Division, typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi, knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and 2 years of experience in handling files or data entry. Age up to 27 years.
- Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen is as per the Government of India rules.
Application Fee
The fee is Rs. 1,000. SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt from the fee.
Selection Process
The final merit is prepared from the marks and ranks secured in the concerned SSC examination (or from the GATE score for the Architecture post), together with the eligibility conditions of the recruitment rules. Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification, and the selection is provisional, subject to the verification of documents and a background check.

- Apply online only on the ITPO recruitment portal (jobapply.in/itpo2026) between 17.10.2026 and 13.11.2026.
- Upload the documents asked in the advertisement, including the SSC scorecard or the GATE scorecard, and pay the fee through the payment gateway.
- Applicants for more than one post must read the eligibility of each post carefully before applying.
