Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• The applicant must have retired from Central Government, State Government, PSU, Autonomous Bodies, Universities or Govt. R&D Organizations.
• Maximum age on the closing date of application is 63 years.
• There must be a gap of fifteen (15) days between retirement and appointment as Consultant.
• Persons with experience of working with DRDO will be given preference during selection.
• Subject expertise: M.Sc in Chemistry or Materials Science with experience in development and testing of anti-vibration materials; experience with composite, magnetorheological (MR) and shear thickening fluid based mounts.
• Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills are required.

Remuneration and Allowances

• Non-pensioners: consolidated monthly remuneration of up to Rs. 50,000, with pay scale equivalent to Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 2,00,000.
• Conveyance allowance: Rs. 3,000 per month.
• Pensioners: a fixed monthly amount after deducting basic pension from the pay drawn at retirement. This amount stays the same during the contract.
• Consultants are not entitled to dearness allowance, residential accommodation, CGHS or medical reimbursement. TA/DA is payable for official travel within the country.

Selection Process
