BMC Garden Superintendent Recruitment 2026 Out

Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a notice to fill one vacant post of Garden Superintendent through direct recruitment. Online applications are accepted on ojas.gujarat.gov.in from 05/10/2026 at 14:00 hrs till 31/10/2026 at 23:59 hrs. The post requires a graduate-level degree in architecture or horticulture along with 3 years of relevant experience.

Eligibility

• Education: B.E./B.Tech. (Architecture/Horticulture), or B.Sc. (Architecture), or B.Sc. Horticulture from a recognised university, plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience: Work in a government, semi-government, board, corporation or company registered under the Companies Act 2013, at a pay of not less than Rs 29200-92300 (7th Pay Commission, Level-5).
• Candidates must have computer knowledge and sufficient knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi.
• Age: Not more than 35 years on the last date of application. Reserved category, women and PwD candidates get relaxation as per rules; the maximum age limit is 58 years.
• Probation: The first two years are probation. After satisfactory completion, the candidate becomes eligible for regular appointment at Level-9 (53100-167800).

• General category: Rs 1000 (at post office, postal service charge extra)
• Reserved category: Rs 500 (at post office, postal service charge extra)
• Fee is not refundable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

• A merit list will be made on the basis of percentage of basic qualification, and shortlisted candidates will get call letters for written test or interview.
• If both written test and interview are held, the final merit list gives 90% weightage to written test and 10% to interview.
• The selection committee of BMC and the Commissioner decide the process; their decision is final.

• Select "Garden Superintendent", read all details, and click "Apply Now".
• Fill personal, educational and experience details, and upload photo and signature (photo in .jpg, below 15KB).
• Save, check the preview, then click "Confirm Application" and keep the Confirmation Number safe.
• Take a print of the challan from "Print Challan" and pay the fee at a post office.
