NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 2008 Slots Open

North Western Railway (NWR) has issued a revised notice for engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2026-27. Online applications are invited for 2008 training slots in designated trades. Applications open on 23.10.2026 and close on 22.11.2026 at 23.59 hours, and must be submitted only on the RRC Jaipur website www.rrcjaipur.in. RRC is the nodal agency that takes the online applications and prepares the merit list, which is made unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise (no single centralized merit list is formed). Document verification and medical examination will be held in the division or unit chosen by the candidate.

Vacancy Details

The notice provides 2008 training slots in total, spread across eight divisions and units of NWR, including DRM offices at Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur, B.T.C. Carriage and B.T.C. LOCO at Ajmer, and Carriage Workshops at Bikaner and Jodhpur. The unit-wise slot count is given below. Trade-wise break-up is available on the official website. The slots are provisional and may increase or decrease.

Eligibility

• Education: Passed Class 10 with minimum 50% aggregate marks (no rounding off), and National Trade Certificate in the notified trade from NCVT/SCVT.
• Age: Must have completed 15 years and must not have completed 24 years as on 22.11.2026.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PwBD. Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per the rules in the notice.

Application Fee

• General and other candidates: Rs 100 (non-refundable).
• SC/ST, PwBD and women candidates: Nil.
• Fee is paid online through the payment gateway by debit card, credit card or internet banking.

Selection Process

• Merit list is based on the simple average of percentage of marks in matriculation and ITI marks in the trade.
• In case of equal marks, the older candidate is preferred. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier gets priority.
• The final merit list is made unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise, equal to the number of slots. After the merit list, document verification and medical examination will be held.

How to Apply

• Apply online only at www.rrcjaipur.in. Choose only one unit and submit only one application.
• Check the training slots for your ITI trade before choosing a division or unit.
• Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, active mobile number and valid email ID. Name, father's name and date of birth must match the matriculation certificate.
• Upload the photograph and signature as per the size and file rules given on the official website.
• Keep a printout of the online application. It is not to be sent by post.
