GeM Assistant Risk Officer Recruitment 2026

Government eMarketplace (GeM) has invited applications to fill the post of Assistant Risk Officer (ARO) on deputation basis. The post is under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Applications in the prescribed proforma, along with the NOC of the competent authority, should reach manager-ta@gem.gov.in on or before 18 November 2026. The deputation will be under Foreign Service terms and conditions.

GeM is a Section 8, not-for-profit company. It runs an end-to-end online marketplace for procurement of goods and services by Central and State Government ministries and departments, public undertakings, autonomous institutions and local bodies. The job is a digitally enabled role that involves identifying, analysing, assessing and mitigating operational, financial and strategic risks.

Post Details

• Main work: Assist the Risk/Vigilance Officer in day-to-day vigilance functions relating to transactions on the GeM portal
• Carry out bid-cycle and bid decryption checks to detect cartelisation, price manipulation and irregular bidding patterns
• Monitor participation of suspended, blacklisted or debarred sellers on the platform
• Assist in preliminary scrutiny of complaints received through CPGRAMS, CVC and whistle-blower mechanisms
• Maintain vigilance case records, complaint registers and inputs for the Annual Vigilance Report

Eligibility

• Officers of Central services of the Government of India, working on Regular / Non-Functional basis in Level 7 with minimum total experience of 4 years in Government Service, or
• Regular / Non-Functional basis in Level 8 with minimum total experience of 3 years in Government Service.
• Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience in risk management, data analytics, audit, financial or risk analysis, or vigilance-related work is mandatory.
• Age: Maximum 45 years as on the last date for receipt of application.
• Desirable: Good skills for working in a computerized office environment.
• The crucial date for determining eligibility is the last date of receipt of applications.
