DGMA Support Associate Recruitment 2026 - 30 Posts

The Directorate General of Maritime Administration (DGMA), Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, has invited online applications for 30 posts of Management Support Associate (MSA) on a purely contractual basis (Advertisement No. PER-DGS-1/2026). The consolidated remuneration is Rs. 75,000 per month and the place of posting is Mumbai. Any graduate aged 18 to 35 years can apply. Online registration opens on 23 October 2026 and closes on 12 November 2026. There is no application fee, and selection is only on merit, with no reservation.

Vacancy Details

• Place of posting: Mumbai.
• Contract period: Initially 1 year, extendable every year up to 3 years, subject to performance and approval of the competent authority.
• The engagement is not a permanent Government appointment and gives no right to regularisation, absorption or continuation.

Eligibility

• Nationality: Citizen of India.
• Education: Graduate in any discipline, or equivalent, from a recognised university or institution. Post graduation and/or experience in office automation, data management, record digitisation, or Government or PSU office work is desirable.
• Age: 18 to 35 years. The application start date, 23.10.2026, is taken for age calculation.
• Reservation: No reservation applies; selection is only on merit.
• Computer skills: Working knowledge of computer operations, MS Office, spreadsheets, data entry, internet and email.

Application Fee

• The application fee is nil. No fee has to be paid.

Selection Process

• Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 questions and 200 marks in 90 minutes, in English: English Language and Comprehension 25 questions, General Intelligence and Reasoning 25, Quantitative Aptitude 25, and General and Digital Awareness 25 (50 marks each part). Negative marking does not apply.
• Stage II: Typing test of 15 minutes in English, which is only qualifying. The required speed is 35 words per minute.
• Stage III: Document and eligibility verification.
• Stage IV: Interview and/or functional proficiency assessment by DGMA.
• The examination centres are only in the Greater Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai region. If the CBT is held in more than one shift, normalisation is applied.

How to Apply

• Apply online only, through the designated portal once it is notified. No offline application is accepted.
• Make sure all details are correct and supported by documents, and upload the photograph, signature and documents in the prescribed format.
• Keep ready these documents for verification: Matriculation or birth certificate, educational certificates, post graduation certificate (if any), computer proficiency and experience certificates (if any), Government photo ID, a recent photograph and a domicile certificate.
