Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Defence and a Schedule 'A' Mini Ratna Category-I company, has invited online applications under Advertisement No. 06/2026 for 40 posts: 31 regular posts and 9 fixed-term posts, from Junior Manager to Chief General Manager, in many disciplines. Online applications open on 23 October 2026 and close on 22 November 2026 at 17:00 hours on www.goashipyard.in. The printout of the online application with copies of documents must reach GSL on or before 2 December 2026. The application fee is Rs. 500, and SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates do not pay it.

Fixed term employment posts (3 years, extendable by up to 2 years): Chief General Manager (HR&A) 1, Chief General Manager / General Manager (Business Development) and Chief General Manager / General Manager (Technical) 2 together, Deputy General Manager (SR) 1, Manager (Civil) 3 and Deputy Manager (SR) 2. These make 9 fixed-term posts. They are not regular posts, and GSL gives no assurance of regular employment after the term.
The vacancies include backlog reserved vacancies. GSL may offer a lower grade than the one applied for in some posts and can increase or reduce the number of vacancies.

Eligibility

Education and experience differ for each post. For example, Chief General Manager (Finance) needs a graduate who is a qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant with minimum 23 years of experience; Naval Architecture posts need a full-time B.E./B.Tech. in Naval Architecture with 16 years (AGM) or 13 years (DGM) of experience.
Junior Manager (Coordination, Delhi Office): a degree in any discipline or a diploma in engineering, with minimum 15 years of work in the Armed Forces including 5 years of liaison and coordination experience. Junior Manager (Safety): a diploma in engineering with a 1-year Diploma in Industrial Safety from CLI/RLI, or a 2-year postgraduate degree/diploma in safety engineering.
Upper age limit as on 30.09.2026 for example: Chief General Manager (Finance) 54 years, Additional General Manager 48 to 51 years, Manager 36 years (UR) and Deputy Manager 33 years (UR/EWS). Junior Manager is 40 years.
Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Ex-Servicemen/Ex-Agniveer and PwBD candidates is as per Government of India rules. Internal candidates get additional relaxation as per GSL rules.
Candidates from Government or PSU must have experience in the immediate lower pay scale as given in the advertisement, and read the full post-wise details in the advertisement before applying.

Application Fee

Rs. 500 (non-refundable), paid online through SBI e-pay by debit card, credit card or net banking.
SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and internal candidates are exempt from the fee.
Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application with the fee for each post.

Selection Process

For all posts except Junior Manager, selection is through interview only. The management can raise the minimum eligibility to shortlist applications if the response is large.
For Junior Manager, there is a written test of 85 marks and an interview of 15 marks. Candidates with 50% or more in the written test (45% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD) are shortlisted for document verification and interview.
The final selection for Junior Manager is made on the aggregate marks of the written test and the interview, in order of merit with reservation.

How to Apply

Apply online on the GSL website, www.goashipyard.in (Notice Board, Careers, GSL Careers, Apply Online), and pay the fee online.
After the online application, submit the form. The form cannot be edited after it is completed.
Take two printouts of the online application form. Send one printout with all relevant documents to General Manager (HR&A), HR&A Department, Goa Shipyard Limited, Vasco-Da-Gama, Goa - 403802, so that it reaches on or before 2 December 2026, and keep the other copy.
GSL is not responsible for any application that is not received through the online system.
