GRID-INDIA Vidyut Pragya Internship 2026 - 15 Interns

Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA), a Miniratna-I and Schedule 'A' Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, has announced a specialised internship programme called Vidyut Pragya for Power System Simulation Studies (Ref. No. 2026_27/Internship/01 dated 21 October 2026). A total of 15 interns will be engaged for 6 months at the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) or the Regional Load Despatch Centres, with a stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month. B.E./B.Tech. graduates in Electrical or Power disciplines with at least 65% marks, aged 18 to 32 years, can apply online from 22 October 2026 to 6 November 2026.

Eligibility

• Only Indian nationals can apply, and the age must be at least 18 years and not more than 32 years on the closing date. Relaxation in the upper age limit is as per Government of India directives.
• Essential qualification: A full-time regular B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc (Engg.)/Integrated Dual Degree in Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering or Power Engineering (Electrical) from a recognised Indian university or institute, with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, pass marks are enough.
• The degree must be completed on or before the closing date. Candidates waiting for the final result are not eligible.
• Desirable: A full-time regular M.Tech./M.E./MSR in Power Systems or a closely related field (final semester students can also apply), or a Ph.D. in Power Systems (research scholars can also apply). They need a No Objection Certificate from their college or university.
• Candidates who have not been employed before get preference. Those who already used the PM Internship Scheme or did an apprenticeship in a Central or State Government organisation under NATS or NAPS are not eligible.

Application Fee

• The advertisement does not mention any application fee.

Selection Process

• Applicants are shortlisted on the basis of the essential eligibility criteria, and candidates with the desirable qualifications get preference.
• Shortlisted candidates are called for an interaction at NLDC, New Delhi. No TA/DA is paid for it.
• The internship offer is given as per requirement, subject to verification of eligibility, marks and declarations. It is not an offer of employment and gives no right to a regular job or to preference in future recruitment.

How to Apply

• Apply only through the online portal on the official GRID-INDIA website, between 22 October and 6 November 2026.
• Give your preferred internship location. Efforts will be made to accommodate it, subject to availability, and the location cannot be changed after the offer.
• Convert CGPA into percentage as per the university rules, or by dividing by the maximum CGPA and multiplying by 100, up to two decimal places. Marks are not rounded up.
