CPCL PM Internship 2026 - 12 Intern Opportunities

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has invited online applications for nine-month internships under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) through notification HRD: 03:26A dated 21 October 2026. There are 12 internship opportunities in different disciplines, and the stipend is Rs 9,000 per month including DBT. Applications are open from 21 October 2026 to 11 November 2026 only on the PMIS portal, and there is no application fee.

Internship Details

The number of internship opportunities is indicative and may vary depending on the requirements of CPCL and the availability of training facilities.

Eligibility

• Age: 18 to 25 years.
• Qualification: as given in the table above for each internship.
• Not eligible: graduates or postgraduates from IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, IIITs and IISc; those with CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, MBA or equivalent, MPhil or PhD; those already in a skill, apprenticeship, internship or training programme under Central or State Government schemes; those who have completed apprenticeship or training under NATS or NAPS; candidates whose family income (self, parents and spouse) was above Rs 12 lakh in the preceding financial year; and candidates any of whose family members is a permanent or regular government employee.

Stipend and Application Fee

• Stipend: Rs 9,000 per month including DBT
• Application fee: Nil
• No travel expenses are paid for certificate verification or during the internship, and CPCL does not provide boarding or lodging.

Selection Process

• Candidates are shortlisted on the criteria prescribed under PMIS, and shortlisted candidates get internship offers through the PMIS portal.
• Original documents about age, qualification, community and disability status (if applicable) are checked at verification.
• Engagement depends on successful verification, eligibility and medical fitness.
• The internship is only for training and skill development; CPCL has no obligation to give a job after it.

How to Apply

• Apply only through the Prime Minister Internship Scheme portal (pminternship.mca.gov.in) between 21 October 2026 and 11 November 2026. Applications by any other mode are not considered.
