NIFT Registrar, Director Recruitment 2026

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has invited applications for 19 senior posts on deputation basis: Registrar, Director (Head Office), Director (Finance & Accounts) and Campus Director. The posts are at Level-13 (7th CPC), which is Pay Band-4 of Rs. 37,400 - 67,000 plus Grade Pay Rs. 8,700 in the 6th CPC. Applications must reach through proper channel, and the last date is 20 November 2026.

Vacancy Details

The 16 Campus Director posts are at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kolkata, Kannur, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, Raebareli, Shillong and Srinagar. The other three posts are in New Delhi.

Eligibility

• Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
• Age limit: Maximum age for appointment is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
• Experience: Officers of the Central Govt., State Govt., UT, autonomous organisation or PSU holding an analogous post on regular basis can apply. Each post has its own experience requirement in administration, admissions, academic or finance and accounts matters. For Campus Director, at least 2 years of experience on the post at the level of Director of Govt. of India or equivalent is required.
• Deputation period is three years and will not be extended.
• Officers already on deputation are not eligible to apply.
• No reservation is provided for these posts.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a personal interview or interaction, or any other criteria fixed by NIFT. Dates and mode of interview will be told only to shortlisted candidates by email. No TA/DA is payable for the selection process.
