The Ladakh Police Subordinate Service Recruitment Board (LPSSRB) has issued Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2026 for direct recruitment to 12 posts in the Ladakh Prison Department. The posts include Assistant Superintendent Jail, Warder, Computer Assistant, Junior Assistant, Orderly and Barber. Online applications opened on 16 October 2026 and the last date is 08 November 2026.

Eligibility
The age limit is 18 to 28 years, reckoned on 01.01.2026. SC/ST/ALC candidates get a 5-year relaxation, and ex-servicemen get relaxation as per DoPT and Administration rules. Educational qualifications differ by post. Assistant Superintendent Jail needs a Post Graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or Criminology. Warder, Orderly and Barber need a 10th class or matriculation pass. Barber also needs a minimum 3-month certificate course in barbering from an NSDC-accredited institute. Computer Assistant needs graduation with a one-year diploma in computer software applications, or B.Sc. IT/BCA, or a three-year AICTE-recognised diploma in computer applications. Junior Assistant needs a graduation degree and a 200 hours or six months certificate course in computer applications. Candidates must hold a valid Domicile Certificate of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The fee can be paid only online through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards or UPI.
Selection Process
Selection includes the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and the Physical Endurance Test (PET) or screening test, which are qualifying. Junior Assistant also has a typing test of 35 words per minute. Warder has a driving test, which adds up to 5% of written exam marks. The written examination is 100 marks, an 80-minute MCQ paper. The general select list is based on written exam marks, followed by medical examination and document verification.

Eligible candidates should fill the online application form through the link on the official website of Ladakh Police (police.ladakh.gov.in). Date of birth and category cannot be edited after submission. Keep a printout or PDF of the form for future reference. Admit cards can be downloaded only from the official website.
