The Ladakh Police Subordinate Service Recruitment Board (LPSSRB) has released an advertisement for direct recruitment to 17 posts in the Ladakh Fire and Rescue Service: Fireman, Fireman Driver, Fireman Ministerial and Sweeper/Safaiwala. This is the Ladakh Fire and Rescue Service Recruitment 2026. Online applications open on 22 October 2026 and close on 8 November 2026. The minimum qualification for Fireman is 12th with Physics and Chemistry.

Eligibility
- Education: 12th with Physics and Chemistry for Fireman; 10th with LMV (TRANS) driving licence for Fireman Driver; 12th for Fireman Ministerial; 10th for Sweeper/Safaiwala.
- Age: 18 to 28 years as on 01-01-2026; 18 to 40 years for Sweeper/Safaiwala. SC/ST/ALC get 5 years relaxation.
- Candidates must have a valid Domicile Certificate of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
- Height for male candidates is 162 cm minimum and for female candidates 152 cm minimum.
Application Fee
- Fireman: Rs 600 for Unreserved/EWS; Rs 500 for SC, ST and ALC.
- Fireman Driver and Fireman Ministerial: the document states the same fee under the Fireman heading.
- Sweeper/Safaiwala: Rs 450 for Unreserved/EWS; Rs 400 for SC, ST and ALC.
- Fee can be paid only online through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards or UPI.
Selection Process
- Stages: PST, PET, document scrutiny, computer test (Fireman Ministerial), driving test (Fireman Driver) and written examination.
- PST and PET are of qualifying nature only.
- Written examination: 100 questions, 100 marks, 80 minutes, objective (MCQ) type, no negative marking.
- Sweeper/Safaiwala: selection is based on the PET and a trade test of 100 marks; no written examination is held for this post.
