DHFWS Howrah Recruitment 2026 - 156 Posts

The District Health & Family Welfare Samiti, Howrah (DHFWS Howrah) has released Recruitment Notice No. DHFWS/HOW/2284, dated 13.10.2026, to hire 156 personnel on contract basis under the National Health Mission (NHM) and XV Finance Commission Health Grant. The posts include Staff Nurse, Community Health Assistant (Urban), Pharmacist, Multi Rehabilitation Worker and others. Applications are accepted only online, and no application fee has to be paid. The last date to apply online is 31 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Multi Rehabilitation Worker: Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy and minimum 2 years working experience in a hospital.
• Pharmacist: Two years Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharma, Allopathic) recognised by the Government of West Bengal, registered as "A" category Pharmacist, and computer efficiency.
• Staff Nurse: GNM training or B.Sc Nursing, and registration under WBNC.
• Community Health Assistant (female candidates only): ANM or GNM, registration under WBNC, proficiency in Bengali and permanent residence of Howrah District.
• Senior Treatment Supervisor: Graduate in a science subject, computer skills and a two-wheeler driving licence.
• TBHV: Graduate in science, at least 1 completed year of experience as MPW/LHV/ANM/Health Worker, and a computer certificate.
• Block Data Manager: Graduate with at least a one-year diploma in computer application, and the experience stated in the notice.
• Age (as on 01/01/2026): generally 21 to 40 years, with relaxation as per government norms. Some Staff Nurse posts have a limit of 40 years or less.

As per the notice, no application fee has to be paid.

Selection Process

The stages differ by post. Some posts have document screening, academic marks, experience and interview. Some posts have only verification of testimonials based on nursing marks. Some posts also have a computer test.
