SAI Deputy Director Recruitment 2026 Out

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has invited applications for the post of Deputy Director on deputation basis from eligible officers. The post is in Pay Level-11 of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The deputation is for two years, extendable by up to one year. Offline applications must reach the office on or before 20.11.2026 at 05.00 PM.

Vacancy Details

The Deputy Director works as a Section Head and assists the Divisional Head in sports administration, policy implementation and programme management. The role includes maintaining data on athletes, personnel and schemes, overseeing administrative and financial matters, and conducting inspections of offices and training centres.

Eligibility

• Age limit: Maximum 56 years as on the opening date of receipt of application.
• Eligible officers: Officers working under the Central Government, State Government or Union Territory Administrations (including attached or subordinate officers) holding an analogous post as Deputy Director (Level-11) or equivalent in their parent cadre or department.
• Alternative route: Officers with at least 5 years of regular service in Pay Level-10 (Rs.56100-177500).
• Deputation terms follow DoP&T OM no. 06/08/2009 Estt (Pay-I) dated 17/06/2010, as amended from time to time.

Selection Process
