Pay levels: Professor is Level 14 (Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200). Associate Professor is Level 13A (Rs. 1,31,400-2,17,100). Assistant Professor is Academic Level 10 (Rs. 57,700-1,82,400). Other admissible allowances are also payable.
Eligibility
- Professor (Aviation Science): PhD in aviation science or a relevant discipline, along with published work of high quality (minimum 10 publications as books and/or research or policy papers). Age limit for direct recruits is 50 years.
- Associate Professor (Aviation Science): PhD in aviation science or a relevant discipline and NET qualification are required. Age limit for direct recruits is 45 years.
- Assistant Professor (Aviation Science): Master's degree with 55% marks in aviation science or a relevant discipline, and NET (or the PhD exemption) are required. Age limit for direct recruits is 40 years.
- Management and Engineering and Technology posts have separate qualification conditions. For Assistant Professor (Management), a Master's degree in business management or administration, or a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or Company Secretary qualification, is accepted. Read the advertisement for full conditions.
- For deputation, the candidate must hold an analogous post on a regular basis. The maximum age limit is 58 years (56 years for Assistant Professor).
