OPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 - 758 Posts

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited online applications for 758 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil and Mechanical) in Group A of the Odisha Engineering Service under the Water Resources Department (Advertisement No. 13 of 2026-27 dated 9 October 2026). There are 750 posts of AEE (Civil), of which 247 are for women, and 8 posts of AEE (Mechanical), of which 3 are for women. The online link is open from 22 October 2026 to 11 November 2026, 5:00 pm. The pay is Level-12, Cell-1 of the ORSP Rules 2017, with dearness and other allowances, and there is no examination fee.

Vacancy Details

• Women's share: 247 of the 750 Civil posts and 3 of the 8 Mechanical posts.
• Civil posts reserved for PwD: 50 (13 for women), and 8 posts (2 for women) for sports persons. Mechanical posts reserved for PwD: 2.
• PwD and sports candidates are adjusted against the categories to which they belong.
• Pay: Level-12, Cell-1 of the Pay Matrix as per ORSP Rules 2017, with usual dearness and other allowances.

Eligibility

• Age: At least 21 years and not above 42 years as on 1 January 2026, so the candidate must be born between 2 January 1984 and 1 January 2005. Age relaxation is as per Odisha Government rules, as explained in the long advertisement.
• AEE (Civil): A degree in Civil Engineering from a university or institution recognised by the Government, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil.
• AEE (Mechanical): A degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or institution, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical.
• The qualification must be held on the date of application.
• A valid GATE score is needed for selection, as the recruitment is done through GATE. Check the long advertisement for the accepted years and the branch.

Application Fee

• No examination fee, as the recruitment is conducted through the GATE score.

Selection Process

• Selection is on the basis of a valid GATE score and an interview, with the GATE score carrying 90% and the interview carrying 10% weightage.
• There is no written examination by the Commission.
