SLSA Chandigarh Office Assistant Hiring 2026

The State Legal Services Authority (SLSA), U.T. Chandigarh, has extended the last date to apply for 1 post of Office Assistant/Clerk. The post is on a contractual basis under the Legal Aid Defense Counsel System (LADCS). Applications can now be submitted up to 30 October 2026 by 5 pm. The honorarium is Rs 22,000 per month and the minimum qualification is Graduation. This extension notice is dated 23 October 2026 and refers to the original notice dated 14 May 2025.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Educational qualification: Graduation
• Basic word processing skills and the ability to operate a computer
• Good typing speed with proper setting of petitions
• Ability to take dictation and prepare files for presentation in court
• File maintenance and processing knowledge is useful
• Work includes keeping updated records of legal aided cases, uploading progress on the NALSA portal and digital platforms, maintaining files in proper order, and typing applications and petitions
• Ministerial work related to cases, such as filing applications for copies of orders and judgements
• Any other work assigned by the Legal Services Authority

Honorarium

• Monthly honorarium: Rs 22,000
