Himachal Pradesh's Jal Shakti Vibhag, through Jal Shakti Division R/Peo in Kinnaur district, has invited offline applications for 2 posts of Para Cook and Para Helper. These posts are for operation and upkeep of Rest Houses and Inspection Huts on honorarium basis. Applications in the prescribed proforma must reach the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division Reckong Peo, Distt. Kinnaur (HP) on or before 07-11-2026 up to 5.00 PM.

Eligibility

General conditions for all candidates:

• Citizen of India.
• Bonafide Himachali.
• Having sound mind.
• No family member of the candidate should be in any Government, PSU or Board job.
• Never involved in any act of criminal nature.
• Medically fit to perform duties.
• Permanent resident of the area under Jal Shakti Circle, Reckong Peo, Distt. Kinnaur (HP).

Educational qualification:

• Para Cook: Matriculation from a school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. Also a degree/diploma in any trade from a government approved Hotel Management or Food Production institute, or minimum 5 years experience in cooking/catering from any government or private institution.
• Para Helper: Matriculation from a Board/University recognised by the H.P./Central Government.
• For Bonafide Himachali candidates, the condition of passing 10th from a Himachali school does not apply.

Application Fee

The advertisement does not mention any application fee.

Selection Process

• Selection is purely on merit. The selection committee will award marks out of 10.
• Matric percentage: out of 5 marks (for example, 50% in 10th gives 2.5 marks).
• BPL family: 1 mark.
• Experience in related field: 2 marks.
• Skill test for Para Cook and Para Helper: 2 marks.
• Total: 10 marks.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the skill test.

How to Apply

• The application form can be downloaded from the department's official website, or obtained from the office on any working day.
• Submit self-attested copies of the matriculation certificate (with detailed mark sheet), Bonafide Himachali certificate, non-employment certificate for family members, valid character certificate from a 1st class Magistrate, and medical fitness certificate. BPL, experience and SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificates are needed if applicable.
• Para Cook applicants must also attach the hotel management/food production degree or diploma, or experience certificate in cooking/catering.
• A separate application is needed for each post.
• These posts are honorarium based and do not form part of the cadre posts of the department, and do not confer any right to regularisation.
