The IBPS RRB 2026 Preliminary exam will be held in November and December 2026. Under CRP RRBs XV, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is recruiting Office Assistants (Multipurpose) and Officers in Scale I, II and III for the Regional Rural Banks (Gramin Banks). The indicative vacancies add up to 13,706 posts in 28 RRBs. Online registration ran from 1 to 21 September 2026.

The banks with the most Office Assistant posts are Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (1,200), Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank (900), Telangana Grameena Bank (750) and Odisha Grameen Bank (600).
Exam Pattern
- Preliminary (Office Assistant and Officer Scale I): 80 questions, 80 marks, 45 minutes; Reasoning 40 and Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude 40
- Main (Office Assistant and Officer Scale I): 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes; Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English or Hindi, and Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude
- Officer Scale II and III: a single online exam, then interview
- You must clear each test of the Preliminary exam separately
Selection
- Office Assistants: provisional allotment on Main exam marks; there is no interview
- Officers: common interview of 100 marks, coordinated by the nodal RRBs with NABARD and IBPS
What to Do Now
- Keep your registration number and password safe; call letters come on the IBPS website
- Practise 45-minute Reasoning and Numerical Ability mock tests, because the Preliminary is short and sectional
