LPSC ISRO Scientist/Engineer-SC Recruitment 2026: 3 Posts

The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) of ISRO has issued Advertisement No. LPSC/03/2026, dated 26.09.2026, for three posts of Scientist/Engineer-SC at its units in Valiamala near Thiruvananthapuram and in Bengaluru. There is one post each in Welding, Turbo Machinery and Power Electronics, in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500). The online application portal opened at 2 pm on 29.09.2026. The advertisement gave 13.10.2026 as the closing date, and the official portal now accepts applications until 2 pm on 23.10.2026.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Welding: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Manufacturing or Material Science, and M.E./M.Tech in Welding Technology, Mechanical Welding and Sheet Metal Engineering, or Manufacturing, Metallurgy or Production with welding as a subject.
• Turbo Machinery: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace, and M.E./M.Tech in Turbo Machinery, or Thermal and Fluids Engineering or Aerospace Propulsion with turbo machinery as a subject.
• Power Electronics: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation, Applied Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, Electrical, Avionics or Power Engineering, and M.E./M.Tech in Power Electronics, Power Electronics and Control, Power Control and Drives, Advanced Electrical Power System, Electrical and Electronics (Power Systems), High Voltage and Power Systems Engineering, or Industrial Power Control and Drives.
• Marks: B.E./B.Tech with at least 65% (or CGPA 6.84 on a 10-point scale) and M.E./M.Tech with at least 60% (or CGPA 6.5).
• Maximum age: 30 years as on 13.10.2026, with relaxation for ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities and departmental candidates as per Government of India orders.

Application Fee

• All candidates first pay Rs. 750 online.
• Candidates who appear in the written test get a refund: the full fee for women, SC, ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates, and Rs. 500 for the others (Rs. 250 is kept).

Selection Process

• Written test: Part-A on the discipline (60 multiple-choice questions, 60 marks, 75 minutes, +1 for a right answer and -1/3 for a wrong one), Part-B on aptitude and ability (20 marks, 30 minutes, no negative marking), and technical questions on the specialisation, as set out in the advertisement.
• Personal interview: candidates are shortlisted from the written test in the ratio 1:5 (at least 10 candidates).
