Purba Bardhaman NHM Recruitment 2026: 47 MO, Pharmacist

The District Health & Family Welfare Samity (DH&FWS) and the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Purba Bardhaman (West Bengal) have invited fresh online applications for 47 contractual posts under the National Health Mission (NHM): 6 posts of Medical Officer-AYUSH (MHT) and 41 posts of Pharmacist. The selected candidates will work in the Medical Health Teams (MHT) of the RBSK programme at the Block Primary Health Centres (BPHC) and municipalities of Purba Bardhaman district. The notice (Memo No. 324/DH&FWS/II-22) is dated 13 October 2026, and the last date to apply online is 13 November 2026.

Vacancy Details

The pay is a consolidated monthly amount. The category labels are given as in the notice.

Eligibility

• Medical Officer-AYUSH: BHMS, BAMS or BUMS degree from an institution recognised by the council of that stream, with the compulsory internship completed when applying, and registration with the respective council. For BHMS, registration must be in Part-A of the State Register kept by the Council of Homoeopathic Medicine, West Bengal, or in Part-I of the Central Register; graded BHMS is also accepted.
• Pharmacist: two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm, Allopathic) from an institute approved by PCI or AICTE, with a registration certificate from the West Bengal Pharmacy Council.
• Age as on 1 January 2026: maximum 40 years for Medical Officer-AYUSH; 18 to 40 years for Pharmacist. Reserved category candidates get relaxation as per State Government norms.
• Applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal and must be able to read, write and speak Bengali.

Selection Process

• Selection is made only on the marks of the academic qualifications listed above.
• Marks are proportionate (percentage of marks × the maximum marks ÷ 100), leaving out marks of additional subjects, and are taken up to 2 decimal places without rounding off.
• The engagement is purely contractual, initially up to March 2027, and may be renewed on satisfactory performance with approval of the higher authority.

• The fee can be paid through NEFT to the District Health and Family Welfare Samity (Non-NHM) bank account given in the notice, or online. The deposit copy with UTR number, or the online payment receipt or screenshot, must be shown at the time of document verification.

How to Apply

• Apply online on the online recruitment section of the West Bengal Health & Family Welfare Department website before 13 November 2026.
• Upload a proper photograph and signature; applications without them, incomplete forms, or forms whose details differ from the original certificates may be cancelled.
• Download the print copy of the online registration form (Application Print) and keep it. There is no need to send it by post.
• Bring the printout, the fee proof and the original certificates of age, caste and qualification for document verification.
