GSSSB Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026: 11 PwD Posts

The Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) has published Advertisement No. 462/2026-27 for 11 posts of Staff Nurse, Class-3 under a special recruitment drive only for persons with benchmark disabilities. The posts are in the office of the Director, Employees' State Insurance Scheme (ESIS), under the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of Gujarat. Candidates with B.Sc. Nursing or GNM can apply online on the OJAS website from 15 October 2026 (2:00 PM) to 29 October 2026 (11:59 PM).

Vacancy Details

Only candidates whose disability is listed in a group with posts can apply. As this is a special drive, no posts are kept separately by caste category, for women or for ex-servicemen. Selected candidates who are original residents of Gujarat will be counted against their own category (SC, ST, SEBC or EWS); others are counted in the general category.

Eligibility

• Education: B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a recognised university, recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or the Indian Nursing Council; or a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognised by these councils.
• Registration: selected candidates must be registered with the Gujarat Nursing Council at the time of appointment.
• Basic computer knowledge and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Age: 18 to 35 years as on 29 October 2026.
• Age relaxation for candidates with disabilities: 10 years for general category men, 15 years for general category women and reserved category men, and 20 years for reserved category women, with a maximum age of 45 years.
• A disability certificate in Form V, VI or VII under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 is required.

Salary

• First five years: fixed pay of ₹40,800 per month.
• After five years of satisfactory service: regular pay scale of ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 (Level-5), subject to the conditions in the notice.

Application Fee

• Exam fee: ₹400 (all applicants in this drive are candidates with disabilities).
• The fee is paid online only by 1 November 2026, after the application is confirmed.
• As per this notice, the fee is not refunded, even to candidates who appear in the exam.

Exam Pattern

• Both papers are MCQ, with 1 mark for each question and one-fourth of a mark cut for every wrong answer.
• At least 40% marks are needed in each paper. Paper-I can be written in Gujarati or English; Paper-II only in Gujarati.
• The merit list is made on the total marks of both papers.

How to Apply

• On the OJAS website, open Online Application, choose GSSSB and select Advertisement No. 462/2026-27 (Staff Nurse, Class-3).
• Enter the OTR number and date of birth, then fill in personal, educational, disability and bank details.
• Upload the photo (5 cm high, 3.6 cm wide) and signature (2.5 cm high, 7.5 cm wide), confirm the application and note the confirmation number.
• Pay ₹400 online by 1 November 2026 and keep the fee receipt and a printout of the application.
