CSIR-CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute), Mysuru has invited online applications from Indian citizens for 28 Technician (1) posts on a direct recruitment basis under Advertisement No. Rec.02/2026. The pay level is Level-2 (₹19,900-63,200) and the approximate total emoluments are ₹37,260 per month, including House Rent Allowance as admissible in Mysuru. Age relaxation rules are given in the General Information section of the notice. The number of vacancies in each category is provisional and may decrease at the time of selection.
Eligibility
- Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Education: 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks, plus ITI certificate or national/state trade certificate in the relevant trade.
- Alternative route: 10th with 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee in the trade, or 3 years of work experience in the trade in a Ministry, Department, Organization, PSU or Autonomous Body under Government of India, State or UT.
- Age limit: Not exceeding 28 years as on 18-11-2026. Relaxations are given in the General Information section.
- Eligibility date: Age and qualifications are counted as on the last date of receipt of online application, i.e. 18th November 2026.

Selection Process
Applications will be screened by a duly constituted Screening Committee, which will shortlist candidates to be called for the Trade Test. Mere possession of the minimum qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for the Trade Test or Written Examination.
