Eligibility
- Essential qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, and first class in all preceding degrees (Bachelor's onwards).
- If first class is not mentioned in the degree certificate, the candidate must have at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks in aggregate.
- Experience, credit points and other terms follow Schedule 'E' of the NIT Statute. Read it before filling the form.
- Degrees from abroad are considered only if offered by a national university of that country or by an institution ranked up to 500 in QS/THE World Ranking.
- Age: Fresh appointment beyond the age of 60 years is discouraged, except for candidates with exceptional research and ongoing or approved externally funded research projects.
Application Fee
- SC, ST, PwD, female candidates and existing SVNIT faculty members are exempted from the fee.
- Other candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹1000 (Rupees One Thousand only) through the online portal.
Selection Process
- Selection includes scrutiny of applications and shortlisting, followed by presentation and interview.
- Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a call for interview. Departments may set higher shortlisting criteria.
