ESIC (Employees' State Insurance Corporation) has released an advertisement to engage 19 professionals on a purely contractual basis for its Actuarial Division and Data Analytics Branch (DAB) at HQ. The initial engagement is for three years, extendable by two more years, one year at a time, at the sole discretion of the Competent Authority. The posts range from actuaries and data specialists to technical officers, with monthly pay from Rs 80,000 to Rs 3,30,000.

The Actuarial Branch has 6 posts and the Data and Analytics Branch has 13 posts, making 19 in all.
Eligibility
- Chief Actuary / Actuarial Advisor: Fellow of IAI is essential; minimum 15 years post-fellowship experience; upper age limit 62 years.
- Sr. Actuarial Specialist (Valuation & Projections): Associate or Fellow of IAI; minimum 10 years experience; upper age limit 50 years.
- Sr. Actuarial Specialist (Policy & Scheme Design): Associate of IAI, or a post-graduate degree with minimum 5 actuarial papers cleared from IAI; minimum 8 years post-qualification experience; upper age limit 50 years.
- Actuarial Analyst / Modeller: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Engineering and 2 to 6 IAI papers; 3 to 6 years experience; upper age limit 45 years.
- Statistical / Research Officer: Post-graduate degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Data Science; minimum 5 years experience; upper age limit 45 years.
- Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO): Post-graduate degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification; minimum 15 years post-qualification experience, including at least 7 years at senior leadership level; upper age limit 62 years.
- Data Governance Officer: Post-graduate degree; minimum 10 years experience; upper age limit 50 years.
- Data Engineering Officer: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology; minimum 10 years experience; upper age limit 50 years.
- Data Analytics Officer: Post-graduate degree; minimum 10 years experience; upper age limit 50 years.
- Data Protection Officer (DPO): Bachelor's degree in Law, IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security or Information Security; minimum 8 years experience; upper age limit 50 years.
- Technical Officer posts: Graduate or post-graduate degree in the relevant subject; minimum 5 years experience; upper age limit 45 years.
Selection Process
- Selection is through a shortlisting stage (preliminary scrutiny, shortlisting up to 1:10 candidates per vacancy) followed by a personal interview before a selection committee.
- A merit panel is prepared, valid for up to one year or till the next selection, whichever is earlier.
- The notice does not mention any application fee.
