ESIC Bihta Faculty Recruitment 2026: 59 Teaching Posts

The ESIC Bihta faculty recruitment 2026 notice is out. ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Bihta, Patna, run by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has published Advertisement No. 15 of 2026 for 59 teaching faculty posts: 16 Professors, 26 Associate Professors and 17 Assistant Professors in 23 departments. The engagement is on a contract basis for one year, and selection is by interview. Doctors with MD, MS or DNB qualifications as per NMC norms must email the scanned application form with documents to dean-bihta.bh@esic.gov.in by 12 noon on 18 November 2026.

Posts are spread across Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Chest, Dermatology, ENT, Eye, General Medicine, OBGY, Paediatrics, Radio-Diagnosis, General Surgery, Dental, PMR, Community Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, FMT, Accident & Emergency, ICU and the Blood Bank Centre. ICU has the most posts (5), followed by General Medicine, General Surgery and Accident & Emergency (4 each). The vacancies are provisional and may change.

Eligibility

• **Qualification:** as per NMC (MCI) teaching faculty norms, with updated NMC or State Medical Council registration of all post-MBBS degrees.
• **Age:** not more than 69 years on 18.11.2026.
• Retired or working Professors may apply for Associate Professor posts and get the Professor's pay.
• Candidates in government service should bring an NOC (or proof of having applied for it) to the interview.

Terms of the Contract

• Tenure of one year or till 70 years of age, whichever is earlier.
• Either side may end it with one month's notice; there is no PF, pension, gratuity, seniority or promotion.
• Private practice is not allowed, and attendance is marked on the Aadhaar biometric system.

Application Fee

Rs 500 by demand draft in favour of ESIC HOSPITAL BIHTA SB ACC-2, payable at Bihta, Patna. SC, ST, women, regular ESIC employees, ex-servicemen and PH candidates pay nothing.

How to Apply

• Fill in a separate application form in the prescribed format for each post.
• Email the scanned form with self-attested documents to dean-bihta.bh@esic.gov.in by 12 noon on 18 November 2026.
• On the interview day, bring the original form, documents and demand draft to the Dean, ESIC MCH, Bihta, Patna-801103.
• Results will be shown on mcpatna.esic.gov.in and esic.gov.in, and the offer letter will come by email. No TA or DA is paid.
