Bhattadev University Faculty Recruitment 2026

Bhattadev University in Bajali, Assam has invited applications for 16 regular teaching posts: 3 Professor, 5 Associate Professor and 8 Assistant Professor. Online applications must be made through the Samarth Portal. The last date for online submission is 09 December 2026, and hard copies must reach the Registrar by 16 December 2026. The application fee is Rs. 3000, or Rs. 2000 for SC/ST candidates.

Vacancy Details

Professor posts are in Assamese, English and Zoology. Associate Professor posts are in Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science & Engineering, Geography and Zoology. Assistant Professor posts are in Botany, Computer Science & Engineering, Economics, Education, Mathematics, Mass Communication and Journalism, Political Science and Sociology. The specialization for all posts is Open. Category-wise reservation (roster points) is mentioned against each post in the official notice.

Eligibility

The minimum qualification is as per UGC Norms, and UGC regulations issued in continuation of the July 2018 Regulations, if any, will apply. Reservation policy of the Government of Assam will apply. Candidates from SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories must submit relevant certificates issued by the competent authority. Candidates already in employment must submit their application through proper channel or along with an NOC from the concerned authority. Candidates who applied earlier for Assistant Professor in Botany under earlier advertisements need not apply again through Samarth Portal, but may submit updated documents.

• SC/ST candidates: Rs. 2000/- (non-refundable)
• Mode of payment: Online payment gateway link in the portal during application. Proof of payment must be enclosed with the hard copy.

Selection Process

Meeting the minimum qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. If there are many applicants for one post, the University may shortlist candidates for interview. The University can revise, reschedule, cancel or withdraw the recruitment process without giving any reason.

1. Apply online through the Samarth Portal. The link will be uploaded on the University website by 10/11/2026. 2. Send 2 sets of photocopies of the application and 2 sets of self-attested supporting documents to the Registrar, Bhattadev University, Bajali, Pathsala-781325, Assam, by 16/12/2026. 3.
