The Birbhum District Health & Family Welfare Samiti has issued a notification to fill 47 posts on a contractual basis under the National Health Mission (NHM). The recruitment is run by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal. Only online applications are accepted, and the window opens at 11 am on 6 November 2026 and closes at midnight on 27 November 2026. The application fee is Rs 100 for General candidates and Rs 50 for Reserved Category candidates.

Eligibility
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal and must know local languages.
- Age as on 1 January 2026: minimum 21 years, maximum 40 years, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per government norms.
- Qualifications differ by post. For example, Staff Nurse needs GNM training and registration with the West Bengal Nursing Council; Medical Officer posts need MBBS; Block Programme Coordinator needs a graduate degree plus a master's degree in a social science or related subject.
- All essential criteria must be completed on or before the last date of online application.
Application Fee
- General candidates: Rs 100
- Reserved Category candidates: Rs 50
- The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online only.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on academic marks, experience, interview, computer test or written test, depending on the post.
- For some posts, only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or computer test.
- The panel will be valid for up to 1 year from the date of approval.
