APEDA Deputation Recruitment 2026 – 7 Posts

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has issued a circular dated 03 October 2026 to fill 7 posts on deputation basis. The posts are Director, Secretary, General Manager and Deputy General Manager. Applications must be filled in the prescribed format and sent through proper channel, so this is an offline process. Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• Director: Officers of Organized Group 'A' Services of the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with five years regular service in Pay Level 12. APEDA General Manager/Secretary with five years regular service in the post is also eligible.
• Secretary: Officers of Organized Group 'A' Services of the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with five years regular service in Pay Level 11. APEDA Deputy General Manager with five years regular service in the post is also eligible.
• General Manager and Deputy General Manager: Officers of Central Government, State Government, Union Territory administration, public sector undertakings, universities or recognised institutions holding analogous posts in the parent cadre, or with five years regular service in the grade.
• Essential qualification: Post Graduate degree in fields such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Plantation, Dairy, Food Processing, Foreign Trade, International Business, Agribusiness Management or MBA (Finance), or Chartered Accountancy from ICAI. Candidates must also have five years experience in these fields after the educational qualification.
• Desirable: Publication of papers in international journals.
• Maximum age: Not more than 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Selection Process

• Selection is made by a Selection Committee on the basis of the application and supporting documents.
• Selected officers have the option to draw their pay plus deputation (duty) allowance.
• The initial deputation period is two years, extendable year to year. The maximum continuous period of deputation is five years.
