Eligibility
For the Librarian post, candidates need a Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks, a Ph.D. in a related field, evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration, and at least 10 years as Dy. Librarian (Pay Level-12), including at least 3 years at Pay Level-13A.
For the Deputy Librarian post, candidates need the same Master's Degree and Ph.D. requirements, the ICT evidence, and at least 8 years as Assistant Librarian (Pay Level-10), including at least 2 years at Pay Level-11.
Candidates must be citizens of India. Age relaxation is given as per Government of India norms.
Application Fee
The total fee is ₹1,000 (application fee ₹950 plus registration fee ₹50). SC, ST, PwD, women and ex-servicemen candidates do not pay the ₹950 application fee but must pay the ₹50 registration fee. The fee paid is non-refundable.
Selection Process
Selection is based on screening of applications and shortlisting. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview. If applications are many, the institute may call only those with higher qualifications and experience for interview.

Take a printout of the filled application PDF and send it with self-attested copies of certificates by speed post, registered post or courier to The Dean (Administration), IISER Kolkata, Mohanpur, Nadia District, Pin - 741246, by 10.11.2026. 3. Write 'APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _____' on the envelope.
