JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research), Puducherry has released a recruitment notice for 9 Senior Resident posts on an 11-month contract basis. Category-wise: UR 6, OBC 2, SC 1, EWS 0, ST 0. Pay: Rs.1,28,359 per month consolidated, with no enhancement during the contract period.
Eligibility
- Age limit: not exceeding 45 years as on 16.11.2026. Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD as per the notice.
- Qualification: NMC/MCI-recognised MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline. For Neurosurgery, MS/DNB in Surgery or MCh/DrNB (Neurosurgery) is also accepted. For Neurology, MD/DNB in Medicine/Paediatric or DM/DrNB (Neurology) is also accepted.
- Crucial date for age and qualification is 16.11.2026. All requirements must be completed by this date.
Application Fee
- UR, OBC (NCL) and EWS: Rs.500
- SC/ST: Rs.250
- Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) are exempt from the fee.
- Payment is only online through SBI Collect. The fee is not refunded under any circumstances.
Selection Process
- If many applications come in, candidates may be shortlisted for interview.
- The final merit list is based 100% on the personal interview.
- In case of equal marks, the elder candidate will be ranked higher.
- Only candidates whose certificates are found in order will be allowed to appear for the interview.

Fill the Google Form and upload the required documents. 3. Pay the fee online through SBI Collect and upload the payment copy in the form. 4. Photo (30 mm × 45 mm) and signature must follow the format given in the notice.
