BEL Probationary Engineer Recruitment 2026

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has released a notification for 350 Probationary Engineer posts, with 200 in Electronics and 150 in Mechanical. Eligible candidates can apply online till 18 November 2026. Selection will be based on a computer based test (CBT) and an interview.

Vacancy Details

Out of these, 13 posts are reserved for PwBD candidates and there are 32 PwBD backlog vacancies. Selected candidates will get DA, HRA, conveyance allowance, performance related pay and medical reimbursement as admissible. CTC is stated as about 13 lacs.

Eligibility

• Qualification: For UR, OBC (NCL) and EWS, First Class in B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering from an AICTE approved college in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, Telecommunication or Mechanical disciplines.
• Candidates with First Class in AMIE / AMIETE / GIETE in these disciplines can also apply.
• SC, ST and PwBD candidates with Pass class in the above degree are eligible.
• Other equivalent disciplines and dual specializations will not be considered.
• If marks are given as CGPA/SGPA, a percentage conversion certificate must be submitted at the time of interview, otherwise candidature will be disqualified.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwBD.
• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Application Fee

• GEN, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates must pay Rs 1000 + GST, that is Rs 1180 in total.
• Note: the notice is inconsistent on EWS. Section 9 says EWS pays Rs 1180, while the instructions say EWS is exempted. Check the official website for the latest position before paying.
• SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee.
• Payment is made through SBI e-Pay Lite by debit/credit card, net banking, wallets or UPI. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

• CBT: 120 minutes, 125 questions (100 technical and 25 General Aptitude and Reasoning). Each question carries 1 mark and 1/4 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 35% for General/OBC/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD, in both CBT and interview separately.
• Shortlisting for interview is in the ratio of 1:5, discipline-wise and category-wise.
• Final selection: CBT carries 85 marks and interview carries 15 marks.

How to Apply

• Register on the BEL official website (Careers section). User ID and password will be sent by email and SMS.
• Keep ready a valid email ID, mobile number, recent passport size colour photo and scanned signature as per the given size and format.
• After submitting the form, pay the fee online and keep a print-out of the application form.

• BEL does not ask for any fee other than the application fee. Beware of fraudsters.
