State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications for 6 Specialist Cadre Officer posts on a fixed term employment basis. The posts include GM & Chief AI Officer, DGM roles and AI Solution Architect roles. Eligible Indian citizens can apply online through the official website from 19.10.2026 to 09.11.2026. Eligibility
The GM & Chief AI Officer post needs a B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in relevant streams or M Sc, MA (Statistics), M Stat or MCA. It also needs at least 15 years of experience in Banking, BFSI or IT, including at least 3 years of senior leadership in AI, Analytics or governance.
The DGM posts need at least 10 years of experience in Banking, BFSI or IT, with at least 2 years in senior leadership roles, as per the post details. The AI Solution Architect post needs a Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least 8 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years in AI/analytics solutioning or solution architecture. The Enterprise AI Architect post needs a Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least 8 years of overall technology experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise, platform, data or AI architecture.

Selection Process
Shortlisting is provisional and documents are verified against originals at the interview stage, if called. Selected candidates must complete formalities such as eligibility checks, medical examination and verification of antecedents. The Bank will decide the interview venues.
