SBI Fire Engineer Recruitment 2026: 18 AM (Fire) Posts

The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/29 for Assistant Manager - Engineer (Fire) in Junior Management Grade Scale I on a regular basis. There are 17 regular posts (SC 2, ST 1, OBC 1, EWS 1, UR 11) and one ST backlog post. Fire engineering graduates with at least two years of fire safety experience, or Station Officers with three years' experience, can apply online from 4 to 25 November 2026. Selection is by an online test and an interview.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility

• B.E. (Fire) from NFSC Nagpur, B.E./B.Tech in Safety and Fire Engineering or Fire Technology and Safety, or an equal 4-year fire safety degree, with at least 2 years of fire safety experience.
• Or Graduate member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (India/UK) or the Divisional Officers course from NFSC, with at least 3 years as Station Officer or equal.
• Age 21 to 40 years on 31 October 2026; relaxation for reserved categories as per Government rules.

Salary

• JMGS-I scale: Rs 48,480-2,000/7-62,480-2,340/2-67,160-2,680/7-85,920, plus DA, HRA, CCA, NPS and other benefits
• Probation: 6 months; posting anywhere in India

Application Fee

• General, EWS and OBC: Rs 750
• SC and ST: no fee

Selection Process

• Online test of 125 questions in two hours: English Language 50 marks and Professional Knowledge 75 marks, with no negative marking.
• Professional Knowledge covers fire engineering, fire service administration and fire service Acts and by-laws.
• Interview of 100 marks; final merit uses 70% weight for the test and 30% for the interview.
