The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications for 60 Specialist Cadre Officer posts on a regular basis. The posts are Manager (Security) and Deputy Manager (Security). Online registration and fee payment is open from 04.11.2026 to 25.11.2026. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India. Read the full notice carefully before you apply.

Eligibility
- Education: Graduate from a government recognised university or institution in any discipline
- Manager (Security): an officer not below the rank of Major in the Indian Army (or equivalent in Navy/Air Force) with at least 10 years of commissioned service, or a Deputy Commandant or above in Para-military forces with at least 10 years of service as an officer
- Deputy Manager (Security): an officer not below the rank of Captain in the Indian Army (or equivalent in Navy/Air Force) with at least 5 years of commissioned service, or an Assistant Commandant or above in Para-military forces with at least 5 years of service as an officer
- Medical fitness: SHAPE-1 or an equivalent medical category as on the date of release of the advertisement
Application Fee
- UR, EWS and OBC candidates: 750 rupees (non-refundable, includes intimation charges)
- SC and ST candidates: no fee
Selection Process
- Online written test: Reasoning, English and General Awareness (qualifying only), and Professional Knowledge (100 marks, counted for merit). Total 200 questions in two hours.
- There is no penalty for wrong answers.
- Interview: 100 marks. Written test and interview marks will be normalised to 70 and 30 respectively.
How to Apply
- Register online through the link on the official website (sbi.bank.in, Careers section).
- Upload your photo, signature, left-hand thumb impression and hand-written declaration as per the specified format.
- Pay the fee by internet banking, debit/credit card or UPI.
- Call letters will be sent by email only, so keep your email ID active.
- If you apply more than once, only the last valid completed application is retained.
