NIT Uttarakhand (National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand) has released Advertisement No. 08/2026 for 21 non-teaching staff posts. The posts will be filled on deputation or contract basis. Technical Assistant posts are in Civil (2), Electrical (1), Electronics (1), CSE (1) and Mechanical (1). Technician (SG-II) posts are in CSE (2), Electronics (2), Electrical (1), Mechanical (1) and Library (1). Technician posts are in Civil (2), Electrical (1) and Electronics (1). The number of posts may change as per the Institute's requirement.
Eligibility
- Qualifications, experience and age limits will follow the Recruitment Rules (2019) for NITs.
- For deputation posts, the maximum age is 56 years as on the closing date of applications.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Ex-Servicemen will be as per Government of India guidelines.
- Eligibility is checked on the closing date of online application.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/Women/Divyaang and candidates applying for deputation are exempted from application fees.
- Other candidates must pay the non-refundable application fee online: 500 rupees (S.No.1 and 2) and 250 rupees (S.No.3, 4 and 5).
Selection Process
- Selection is through a Written Test and a Trade Test.
- The merit list is prepared on the basis of both tests.
- Top N candidates from the written test (N = number of posts x 6) will be shortlisted for the Trade Test.

- Send the printout of the online form, fee receipt and self-attested documents in a sealed envelope to the Registrar, NIT Uttarakhand, Srinagar Campus, Srinagar (Garhwal), District Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand 246174 by 11/12/2026, up to 5:30 PM.
