RITES Assistant Manager Recruitment 2026 - 27 Posts

RITES Ltd., a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has invited online applications for 27 Assistant Manager (Mechanical) posts on a contract lumpsum basis in Tamil Nadu. Applications are open from 30 October 2026 and the last date to apply and pay the fee is 20 November 2026. Selection is by a written test and an interview.

Eligibility

• Education: full-time Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. AM-Mechanical-II also needs ASNT/ISNT Level-II in UT, and AM-Mechanical-III needs ASNT/ISNT Level-II in MPT.
• Experience: diploma holders need 8 years and degree holders need 2 years in QA/QC/Testing (destructive and non-destructive), preferably in steel plants and rolling, forging or casting industries. Training, internship, teaching and research periods are not counted.
• Marks: at least 60% (first class) for unreserved posts and 50% for reserved posts.
• Age limit: 40 years as on 20 November 2026. Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (NCL) 3 years and PwBD 10 years, as per rules.

Application Fee

• The fee of SC, ST and PwD candidates is refunded after they take part in the written test or interview, subject to certificate scrutiny.
• Pay the fee only through the online mode given on the portal.

Selection Process

• Written test: 125 objective questions of 1 mark each in 2.5 hours, with no negative marking. The minimum is 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for reserved categories.
• Interview: candidates are called in the ratio of 1:6 to the vacancies. Weightage is 60% written test and 40% interview, and the interview minimum is 60% for UR/EWS and 50% for reserved categories.
• Document verification and a medical examination follow.
