HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026: 2,423 Posts, Apply Online

Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur has issued Advertisement No. 14/2026 dated 2 November 2026 for 2,423 teacher posts in 15 subjects. These are scheme-based engagements for CBSE-affiliated government schools of the Directorate of School Education, for five years, with a fixed honorarium of Rs 30,000 a month paid for 10 months of the academic year. Online applications open on 10 November 2026 at 10 AM and close on 5 December 2026 at 11:59 PM.

Vacancy Details

Each post has a category-wise split (General, EWS, SC, ST, OBC, BPL and Wards of Freedom Fighters) in the notice; numbers may change.

Eligibility

• Most subjects: Master's degree in the subject with at least 50% marks, B.Ed with 50%, and the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) of HP Board of School Education.
• English and Mathematics: MA/MSc in the subject, B.Ed with the subject, at least 55% in the subject at graduation, and TET.
• Physical Education: B.P.Ed or related degree as per NCTE norms with M.P.Ed or MA Physical Education; Fine Arts: Master's in Fine Arts or the diploma route given in the notice.
• Age 18 to 45 years on 1 January 2026; reserved categories of Himachal get up to 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.
• Reservation is only for bona fide residents of Himachal Pradesh; others apply as General.

Application Fee

• All categories: Rs 800 (Rs 100 exam fee and Rs 700 processing fee)
• Paid only online by card or net banking; the fee is not refunded.

Selection Process

• Computer Based Test or written screening test of 120 marks, 1.5 hours, 120 multiple-choice questions of one mark each.
• Syllabus: the subject up to the level of the essential qualification, plus general knowledge of Himachal and current affairs, everyday science, reasoning, social science, general English and general Hindi of matric level.
• Qualifying marks 45% for General and 40% for SC, ST, OBC and Wards of Freedom Fighters; then document verification.
• This is a scheme engagement: there is no regularisation, and government service rules do not apply.

How to Apply

• Register on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal of HPRCA, then fill the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) at hprca.hp.gov.in.
• Upload a recent passport-size photo and signature (JPG or PNG, up to 1 MB each) and pay the fee online.
