The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), a national institute under Tribhuvan Sahkari University, has announced a contract recruitment for Field Investigator / Field Enumerator. The post is for a research project on sustainable dairy farming and value chain development, with work in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. The selected candidate will get a consolidated ₹20,000 per month. Vacancy Details

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct midline surveys of dairy farming households using structured survey tools.
• Collect data through household surveys, interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Coordinate and assist in training and capacity-building programmes under the project.
• Coordinate with dairy farmers and Primary Dairy Cooperative Societies (PDCS) for field work.
• Help with data verification, documentation and preparation of field reports.

Eligibility

• A post-graduate degree in Social Sciences, Rural Management, Agriculture, Dairy Management, Development Studies or allied subjects is preferred.
• Field experience in household surveys, rural fieldwork or work with dairy farmers or cooperatives is preferred.
• Candidates should be fluent in Hindi and English.
• Candidates should be willing to travel extensively within the assigned districts of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
• Age should preferably be below 40 years.

Remuneration

• Pay: ₹20,000 per month, inclusive of all allowances.
• No separate allowance is payable unless specifically approved under project norms.

Nature of Appointment

• The appointment is purely temporary for two months and will not become a permanent role.
• It may be extended based on performance, project funds and requirements, but the contract ends automatically after two months.
