National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has invited applications for 1 Training & Placement Officer on contract at its Career Development Centre (CDC). The officer will manage campus recruitment, corporate relations and student skill training. Eligibility

• Essential qualification: Full-time Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Science/Management, or 2-year full-time PGDM-HRM, with 60% marks or 6.00 CGPA throughout the career.
• Desirable: B.E./B.Tech followed by full-time MBA (preferably HRM), or 2-year full-time PGDM-HRM, with 60% marks or 6.00 CGPA.
• Essential experience: 2 years of relevant experience after the qualifying degree, plus proven experience in campus placement operations, recruitment in a corporate house or MNC, or manpower development, corporate training and talent management.
• Desirable: experience in IITs, IIMs, IISERs, NITs or CFTIs, strong English communication, administrative and analytical skills, and experience with ERP portals for placements.
• Age: preferably below 45 years as on the last date of application. Older candidates with experience, including recently retired professionals, may also be considered.

Salary

• During the contract period: Rs 80,000 per month (consolidated). Higher salary may be offered to a deserving and experienced candidate.

Main Duties

• Look after training, placement and internship activities of students.
• Oversee the placement process from candidate sourcing to onboarding.
• Prepare placement reports and analytics.
• Maintain liaison with industry, government and non-government organisations.
• Organise soft skill and interview training, and industry talks.
