NITTTR Bhopal Post Doctoral Fellow Recruitment 2026

NITTTR Bhopal has invited applications for one Post Doctoral Fellow post in Indian Knowledge Systems (Bharatiya Gyan Parampara). A PhD in a relevant subject is compulsory, and the last date to submit applications is 10 November 2026. Candidates who already hold an awarded degree will get a consolidated pay of Rs 55,000 per month. This is a research post, so research experience and publications matter a lot. Eligibility

• Education: A PhD in a relevant field such as Indian Philosophy, Ayurveda, Yoga, Sanskrit, Indian Literature, Science, or other disciplines related to Indian Knowledge Systems is compulsory. The doctoral research must be on topics related to the Indian Knowledge System.
• Research experience: Candidates must have experience in advanced, high-quality research after the PhD. They should be able to take up independent or collaborative research projects in the field of Indian Knowledge Systems. Novelty and rigour in research work are also expected.
• Publications and presentations: Research papers must be published in reputed national and international journals. Candidates should have presented research findings at conferences and seminars related to Indian traditional knowledge, and should have a strong command over Indian Knowledge Systems topics.
• Other requirements: Ability to work independently as well as in a research team. Interest in teaching or mentoring is preferred but not always mandatory. Candidates should understand how to connect traditional knowledge with modern research approaches.
• Age limit: 35 years. As per Government of India guidelines, a five-year age relaxation will be given to candidates from SC, ST, OBC categories, women and persons with disabilities, as applicable under the relevant rules.

Salary

• Candidates with an awarded degree: Rs 55,000 per month (consolidated).
• Candidates who have submitted the thesis but whose degree is not yet awarded: Rs 35,000 per month (consolidated).
