MJNMCH House-staff Recruitment 2026 Notice

Maharaja Jitendra Narayan Medical College & Hospital (MJNMCH), Cooch Behar has invited applications for stipendiary House-staff (Junior Resident) posts. This is an offline recruitment: candidates must send the proforma and documents to the Principal's office. The last date to submit is 2 November 2026 at 5:00 PM, and counselling is on 4 November 2026 at 2:00 PM.

Post and Tenure

• Post: Stipendiary House-staff (Junior Resident)
• Engagement period: up to 03.05.2027
• Engagement depends on the candidate's eligibility and the vacancy available.
• Extension may be given depending on satisfactory completion of house-staffship and available vacancy as on 04.05.2027.
• Preference will be given to fresh candidates who completed internship from this institute in the current year (2025-26).
• House-staff who resign before completing their tenure will not be given priority.

Eligibility

• Age: not to exceed 35 years as on "31st November 2026", as printed in the notice (November has only 30 days, so the date is doubtful)
• Education: Madhyamik or equivalent certificate showing date of birth, all MBBS mark sheets, chance certificate for MBBS, and internship completion certificate
• Registration: Permanent Medical Registration Certificate (WBMC or MCI), or proof of application for permanent registration in the State Medical Council, or a self-declaration in the prescribed format
• Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for counselling after verification

How to Apply

• Applications are accepted only offline, with the attached proforma
• Submit self-attested photocopies of: Madhyamik or equivalent certificate, all MBBS mark sheets, chance certificate, honours and gold medal documents (if any), internship completion certificate, and the permanent registration certificate or proof of application or self-declaration
• Submit to the office of the Principal (the undersigned) of MJNMCH, Cooch Behar
• At counselling, bring all original documents, self-attested photocopies of all documents and two passport size recent colour photographs

Selection Process

• Documents will be verified, and only eligible candidates will be allowed for counselling
• Counselling: 4 November 2026 at 2:00 PM; reporting at 11:00 AM
