The Institute of Physics (IoP), Bhubaneswar has invited applications for one (01) post of Scientific Assistant-B (Electronics) through direct recruitment. The institute is an autonomous research body under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. The pay is Level 6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix and the age limit is 18-30 years. Eligibility
- Essential: B.Sc. in Electronics with minimum 60% marks, OR a three-year Diploma in Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electrical & Electronics Engineering after SSC/10th with minimum 60% marks.
- Desirable: relevant post-qualification experience in areas such as electronics and instrumentation, data acquisition and control, FPGA/microcontroller systems, LabVIEW-type software and repair of electronic equipment.
- Added advantage: experience in a research laboratory or accelerator/ion-beam facility.
- Age relaxation is given to eligible categories as per Government of India/DAE rules.
Job Profile
- Mainly support electronics and instrumentation for the Ion Beam Laboratory (IBL).
- Develop, test and maintain analog/digital electronics, power supplies and control systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair and carry out preventive maintenance of equipment.
Selection Process
- Written examination and/or screening, followed by a Skill/Trade Test and/or interview.
- The detailed scheme, syllabus and qualifying standards will be notified on the official website.
- Probation period is two years.
