NIT Kurukshetra Adjunct Faculty Recruitment 2026

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra has released Advt. No. 35/2026 to engage Adjunct Faculty in its various departments. This is a rolling advertisement with no closing date. For the Fourth Round, the last date to submit applications is 6 November 2026, up to 5:30 PM. Applications must be sent by post to the Registrar, and the Institute will process them periodically throughout the year.

Departments and Specializations

The Institute is inviting experts for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Computing, Humanities & Social Sciences, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Architecture & Planning, and VLSI Design & Systems Engineering. The areas of specialization for each department are listed in the official notice.

Eligibility and Experience

• Qualification: The candidate must be an accomplished professional in their field, comparable to at least the top one-third of regular faculty.
• Experience: Normally at least 10 years of experience in the relevant field is desirable. In emerging and cutting-edge technologies, persons with more than 5 years of experience may also be considered.
• Candidates from industry or research organisations do not need a PG or Ph.D. degree as an essential qualification.
• Who can apply: Serving and retired scientists, engineers, physicians, professionals, academicians and practitioners with experience in government PSUs, R&D or academic institutions, civil services, or reputed overseas organisations.
• All educational certificates must be from recognised universities or institutes.

Honorarium

• Adjunct Professor: maximum Rs 1,80,000 per month, or Rs 8,000 per day, or Rs 2,000 per hour
• Adjunct Fellow: maximum Rs 1,20,000 per month, or Rs 6,000 per day, or Rs 1,500 per hour

Selection Process

Candidates will be short-listed and called for a presentation and interview before the Selection Committee. Candidates bear their own cost for attending the interview. All original documents must be produced at the interview. Selected candidates must pass a medical examination. The Institute reserves the right not to fill any post.
